Route description:

National Park of Atlantic Islands of Galicia consists of four islands linked to the Rias Baixas located off the coast of Pontevedra and A Coruña: Cies, Ons, and Cortegada Sálvora.

this excursion we will have the opportunity to visit the Cies Islands, one of the most beautiful and idyllic places in our region, which are formed by the island of Boeira and South Island or San Martino, and continues Middle the islands or the lighthouse and the North or Monteagudo, both linked by the sandbar from the beach of Rhodes, considered one of the most beautiful in the world.

To get to the Cies Islands have to come first coach to Vigo, where the ferry terminal, from where we catch the boat Naviera Mar de Ons that will take us to the islands on a beautiful voyage by sea around 45 minutes.

As we approach we see the configuration of Cies Islands, consists of three islands: the left called Island South or San Martino, you can not visit, in the center of Middle Island and the lighthouse, which is linked by the spectacular beach of Rhodes to the North Island or Monteagudo, located on the right side of the archipelago.

Upon reaching the island will see the beautiful beach of Rhodes, idyllic tropical places reminiscent of other latitudes, and which welcomes us with its blue waters and fine white sand, and is considered one of the most beautiful beaches the world.

From here, we passed the information booth of the National Park and we went to make the first route, the Ruta del Monte Faro, which is the most desirable of the island for its contrasting landscapes. A little further back is the detour to a new bird observatory, in a spectacular, practically hanging on the cliffs, from where you can see many birds among which is the shag.

the way back, we reached a point where we will turn again for the last of the Cies routes, called the High Road do Príncipe. This route takes us down a path that ascends slowly through the woods to the viewpoint of the Alto do Principe, another point from which you can admire an exceptional view, in this case from Middle Island to the lighthouse at its most high.

Return along the same path to the beach of Rhodes, where the tour ends, and where the rest of the ship waiting to pick us to return to Vigo, and from there by bus back to Lugo.
